Train the Trainer - Training Schemes for amobilife

The implementation of the Train the Trainer Programme is one of the key actions of ICMA| amobilife in order to facilitate the mobility competence of different target groups, especially senior citizens and children. The training module has  been originally developed by the Swiss mobility agency rundum)mobil for the training of mobility attendants. But wiithin the ICMA| amobilife project the training module has been further developed and applied to different target groups in North West Europe.

In Offenbach for instance the training scheme has been applied for senior citizens. There seniors could apply as voluntary mobility trainers for other seniors. This "Seniors Train Seniors" programme had an enourmous positive feedback with 110 seniors trained in Offenbach and even raised interest beyond the cityborders and the ICMA amobilife project. Recently the local public transport organisation of the City of Uppsala (Sweden), Uppland Lokaltrafik decided to adapt the approach in their region.
