With ICMA the University of Aberdeen (UoA) /Center for Transport Research (CTR) will:
improve the efficiency and connectivity of transport capacities of different operators
cover on-demand transportation offers for physically impaired
For that purpose the CTR/UoA in co-operation with SPT and GMPTE will develop a new cost-model based on an IT-based booking, scheduling and dispatch system which simulates virtual fleets, to improve the efficiency and connectivity of different transport providers. Further the CTR/UoA in co-operation with SPT will develope an inter-operator price model which focusses on the identification of "fixed prices" for a demand responsive transport delivered by different providers.
Further UoA will develop and test new IT -applications for booking, scheduling and dispatch of journeys especially for physically impaired people.
In co-operation with GMPTE the CTR/UoA will also develop training courses for service providers staff which focus on on the ability to deliver the demand-responsive mobility services/offers. This also includes the development of an Training Lab to create a platform for the qualifictaion of service staff beyond the duration of the project.
The CTR/UoA is the host of the 1st International "amobilife Economics" Training Session in Aberdeen.
