TfGM as the Lead Partner of the ICMA Project will:
improve the efficiency and connectivity of transport capacities of different operators
cover on-demand transportation offers for physically impaired
provide travel training for elderly
facilitate service staff skills development
In co-operation with SPT and CTR/UoA TfGM will develop a new cost-model based on an IT-based booking, scheduling and dispatch system which simulates virtual fleets, to improve the efficiency and connectivity of different transport providers. Further TfGM will upgrade vehicles with state-of-the-art mobile data terminals.
In addition TfGM in co-operation with 3 service providers will develop a travel training course for elderly to improve their mobility access.
In co-operation with the CTR /UoA TfGM also developes a training lab where mobility management staff will be trained how to use infomation and communication technologies for mobility management. Also a training course for this staff will be created.
Also TfGM will integrate ambulance services in the overall mobility offer through the integration of call centre services.
TfGM leads the development of the Transnational Competence Hub. It is responsible for the internal communication and co-ordination of all transnational activities and the integration of the partner deliverables into the Competence Hub. Further TfGM is responsible for all technical issues concerning the project, e.g. financial management, technical co-ordination within the project, communication with the Joint Technical Secretariat of INTERREG IVB Program, etc.
TfGM hosted the Launch Event of the project in Manchester, November 2008.
