Strathclyde Partnership for Transport / UK

The district of Strathclyde covers the west coast area of Scotland, stretching from the Highlands in the north to the Southern Uplands in the south, with  the City of Glasgow at the centre. SPT was formed by combining Strathclyde Passenger Transport Authority and Executive and the WESTRANS voluntary partnership. SPT is at the centre of the region's transport planning; analysing all travel needs and developing the transport system. The aim is for all modes of transport to be integrated: road, rail, freight, ferry, cycling and walking.
